The Thread Ball Valve and the gate valve are the same type of valve. The difference in its closed part is a sphere, and the sphere rotates around the center line of the valve body to reach an open and closed valve. The three-piece ball valve is mainly used to cut off, distribute and change the flow direction of the medium.

Threaded ball valves, including the HP Series and HX Series ball valves, provide rugged reliability for high pressure and instrumentation applications. These valves feature a three-piece body design for installation flexibility and ease of maintenance. 316 stainless steel bodies are standard construction for the HP and HX series. Other valve body materials are available such as Duplex Stainless Steel, Hastelloy®, Monel and Titanium. All valve bodies are marked with a heat code for full material traceability.
The floating ball design provides a positive, bubble-tight shut-off with smooth quarter-turn operation at low operating torque. Other benefits include a choice of lever or pointer handles, travel limit pins and replaceable seats and seals. Locking kits are also available to secure the valve in the desired position. Safety features include an internally loaded anti-blowout stem and end connections secured with pins to prevent inadvertent loosening or removal.
Installation and Maintenance
The following matters should be note in the installation and maintenance of Thread Ball Valve:
1. Keep the position of the valve handle rotation.
2. cannot be used as throttling.
3. Ball valves with the transmission mechanism shall be installed upright.
